I have been on a mission to lose weight , get fitter and in general be healthier. It has been an up hill mission but my persistence is now starting to show. This is my story of what I’ve achieved.

Wellbeing - Reducing Stress

I have been interested in wellbeing as I think it plays an important role in our busy lives. I decided to try some apps online, which I have used for over sometime and they have became part of my daily routine. I then did an online course called “Reducing Stress with Meditation and Visualisation”. This is something I can do at home, in a traffic jam and even in any stressful situation. It’s amazing how easy it is.

This statistic shows the retail value of the health and wellness market in the United Kingdom (UK) annually from 2015 forecast to 2020. The value of the health and wellness market in the UK increased over the period observed from over 20.5 billion euro in 2015 to almost 23 billion euro in 2018. The health and wellness industry covers a range of different topics from healthy eating, staying fit, maintaining a healthy weight to taking care of one's mental and physical health. The data highlights that the health and wellness trend is growing in momentum and is expected to continue growing in into their mental and physical health. The health and wellness trend is experiencing a boost throughout Europe with a noticeable increase in market value in Western Europe. In Western European countries the value of the market increased substantially from approximately 120 billion euro in 2015 to over 130 billion euros in 2018. The market is expected to grow in future years with a predicated market value of around 140 billion euro in 2019. The word diet first appeared in English in the 13th century. Its original meaning was the same as in modern English, “habitually taken food and drink.” . People will be often heard saying I’m going on diet well you are, it’s making sure you have a well balanced diet. Enjoy you treats every now and then - don’t deprive yourself of them completely. In other words your diet should be everything in moderation. I worked for a Slimming Company for 7 years as a Health Lecturer/Consultant for over 7 years and it became a hobby I enjoyed outside of my job. So, I know what to do - its just putting what I know into practice. So for the last 3 years, I have been going to a local Slimming Group and working out at the gym. As I was morbidly obese, I started working out in water doing all aqua classes. I made it my goal to shift the weight and I can honestly say I am feeling so much better for it. I have less pain in my joints, more energy and feel more confident. I have started an online course on Nutrition, which I am enjoying. It is basically refreshing what I did as a hobby with a few new topics included.

Beauty Consultant

I am against using products that animals have been tested on or killed. So I source products that are natural, contain vitamins and herbal products. I was a beauty consultant for a Natural Herbal Cosmetics for over 7 years. I don’t wear much make up but keep to a simple routine each day. Remember that the following regime does not have to cost a fortune. Your daily regime Cleanse Tone Moistures These steps can apply to a woman’s beauty and men’s regime. The skin is the largest organ of the human body and we all need to look after it. The skin helps to protect us from infection. This is where health and beauty has to be balanced in your life. If you eat well, this will be portrayed in your skin and other organs. Your skin will glow, your eyes will sparkle and you will be more focused. One tip I learnt in Africa on exfoliating your skin. Great for rough skin and with winter just around the corner could be useful. There are many exfoliating creams for all different types of skins, however if you have run out your product or you’re watching your money here is an alternative. Have a basin or bowl handy filled with warm water Use aqueous cream (or any body cream you have). Place a generous amount in your hand add 1 teaspoon sugar and rub hands together and concentrate on elbows and other problem areas for approximately two minutes. Rinse your arms and hands in the warm water. This will leave your skin soft and smooth. Happy exfoliating❣
